I picked up my first camera in college and never really put it down. After a few years shooting for local magazines and small studios around the city, I went independent and started PhotoFolio to focus on the work I care about most: portraits, weddings, and editorial stories that feel honest rather than staged.
These days my work takes me across New York and occasionally further afield, but the approach stays the same — get to know the people in front of the lens, find good light, and stay out of the way while the moment happens. When I'm not shooting, I'm usually editing with a cup of coffee or scouting new locations around the city.
